Today was Pentecost! My favoritest of church holidays. St. Paul's did a pretty good job with the requisite balloons and tissue paper fire boxes. Lots of people (including me, of course) wearing red or orange and it was quite a bit of fun. <3
And then there was a BBQ for the All Saint's campus ministry that I was persuaded to attend, and I'm glad I did. I spent most of the evening talking not to college students, but this lovely older woman named Julia who attends the 9am service and evidently helps Ryan and Andrea (the coordinators of the campus ministry) with whatever. I feel a little bad that I spent the whole time talking to her because when she and her husband left I pretty much had no reason to be there anymore. Meh.
